2. Megadeth. So far, so good, so what! Old style Heavy Metal that, by today's comparisons, is relatively mild. Quite a varied musical style within the stereotype too. As, in the fact that, each track was distinct, and not just a thrash of noise from start to finish. Lots of fret work, direction and key changes. A definitive album/5().

A largely uninspired effort recorded with a new guitarist and drummer, So Far, So Good So What! lacks the conceptual unity and musical bite of Peace Sells, which helps push much of its lyrical material into the realm of self-parody, as Mustaine rants about the PMRC, the apocalypse, ex-girlfriends, and other people he is angry with, while hinting at the depth of his substance abuse problem.

7. Overall, Megadeth's third album, So Far, So Good So What is a fairly decent album, but not a great one. Its strongest songs are excellent to superb, with the likes of Mary Jane and Into the Lungs of Hell being part of the former and Set the World Afire and In My Darkest Hour being part of the later group.
