  3. The story is that after a tour of Europe Nico's manager took the decision to release a live album, essentially a bootleg as Nico wasn't consulted. This CD is (most of) the result. The original LP was a double, with four tracks per side, of which the 4/5(5).

Amid the sheer quantity of "live in the s"-style Nico live albums that commenced raining down in the early '80s, and which have barely abated in the years since her death, few stand out as being more (or less) valuable than any other. Inasmuch as it captures an entire concert, Behind the Iron Curtain is one of the few exceptions, a classy recording of a late show 8/
